Your extraction journey mapped in 6 calming steps

Borrowing from our surgical playbook, every phase from scans to review is time-boxed so you and your caregiver know exactly what happens next.

  1. CBCT powered diagnosis

3D nerve tracing, sinus mapping and bite force analysis confirm if we can lift the tooth or need flap access.

  2. Medical clearance & consent

We coordinate with your physician for blood thinners, diabetes medication or pregnancy guidelines before locking the appointment.

  3. Buffered anaesthesia ritual

Topical numbing, The Wand® STA and Onset™ buffering deliver painless numbness without post-shot burning.

  4. Precision extraction

Periotomes and physics forceps for simple lifts; microsurgical flaps, piezosurgery and sectioning burs when impactions demand it.

  5. Socket preservation

PRF membranes, collagen plugs, ozone irrigation and optional grafting stabilise the clot for future implant readiness.

  6. Recovery concierge

Medication packs, WhatsApp check-ins at 12 & 48 hours and a day-7 review slot keep healing supervised.

When we recommend non-surgical vs surgical extraction

Clinical imaging, oral exam and systemic health indicators decide if we can luxate the tooth intact or require minimally invasive sectioning with sutures.

Non-surgical (simple) extraction

  • Mobile teeth with bone support compromised by gum disease
  • Fully erupted wisdom teeth with accessible crown morphology
  • Orthodontic extractions when space creation is needed
  • Primary teeth that impede eruption of permanent successors

Surgical & impacted tooth removal

  • Horizontally or mesioangular impacted wisdom teeth
  • Teeth broken at gum level with roots retained below bone
  • Dense ankylosed roots or bulbous root morphology
  • Teeth near sinus or nerve canal requiring CBCT guided planning

Comfort-focused checks

  • CBCT or RVG imaging to map nerves, sinus and root curvature
  • Medical consultation for heart conditions, diabetes and pregnancy
  • Pre-operative medication planning with antibiotic stewardship
  • Consent + recovery briefing with support person for sedation cases

Step-by-step pathways tailored to the tooth and your schedule

Every extraction starts with painless anaesthesia via The Wand® STA, and ends with a platelet-rich plug plus written instructions sent to your phone.

Non-surgical

Simple extraction protocol

  1. Digital assessment: RVG radiograph and periodontal charting
  2. Anaesthesia: Topical gel + computerised intraligament delivery
  3. Luxation: Periotome + elevators to detach periodontal ligament
  4. Delivery: Tooth removed in a single motion, socket curetted
  5. Closure: PRF plug, bite dressing, 20-minute chair observation

Typical chair time: 15-20 minutes.

Analgesics and salt-water rinse schedule starts 24 hours later.

Surgical

Impacted wisdom tooth protocol

  1. CBCT mapping: 3D view of roots, mandibular canal & sinus
  2. Sedation plan: Oral anxiolysis or IV sedation with anaesthetist
  3. Flap & sectioning: Microsurgical flap, bone window and tooth section
  4. Socket care: Thorough irrigation, PRF membrane, resorbable sutures
  5. Recovery lounge: Cold laser biostimulation + escort briefing

Typical chair time: 40-60 minutes for full bony impactions.

Sutures reviewed day 7-10, swelling peak expected day 2.

Healing boost

PRF + photobiomodulation

  1. PRF preparation: Chair-side centrifuge draws 10 ml of blood
  2. Membrane placement: PRF tucked into socket for clot stability
  3. Low-level laser: 660 nm light activates fibroblasts & reduces pain
  4. Take-home kit: Ice packs, medicated gauze, customised instruction card

Reduces dry socket risk by 68% in our audit.

Faster mouth opening recovery for musicians, teachers and speakers.

Technology stack that keeps extractions minimally traumatic

We blend diagnostics, biologics and sedation-grade monitoring lifted from our surgical theatre for every extraction appointment.

Guided planning

CBCT overlays, intraoral scans and AI nerve tracing remove guesswork for curved roots and sinus proximity.

Sedation ready

Nitrous oxide, oral anxiolysis or IV GA with anaesthetist support ensures anxious patients rest through the visit.

Piezosurgery suite

Ultrasonic tips section bone selectively, preserving nerve sheath and reducing post-op soreness dramatically.

Regenerative boost

PRF, collagen matrices, ozone irrigation and low-level laser therapy shrink healing time-lines for both plans.

Digital follow-up

Encrypted photo triage, medication reminders and remote vitals capture keep us looped into your recovery.

Sterility protocols

Class B sterilisation, HEPA filtration and single-use instrument packs maintain hospital-grade infection control.

Technology that keeps you relaxed before, during and after

Noble Dental Care integrates medical-grade monitoring, anaesthetist support and digital communication so you always know what is next.

Anxiety control

Noise-cancelling headphones, guided breathing prompts and nitrous oxide sedation when clinically appropriate.

Microsurgical instruments

Piezosurgery and periotome systems protect bone and soft tissue while allowing sectioning through minimal access windows.

Medical monitoring

Continuous pulse oximetry, BP tracking and emergency meds kit following AHA guidelines.

WhatsApp follow-up

Daily recovery check-ins with photo sharing and escalation to in-clinic review when needed.

Post-operative instructions delivered to your phone

Non-surgical extraction

3-day recovery plan

  1. Bite on sterile gauze for 45 minutes, avoid spitting, smoking or using a straw. Start prescribed anti-inflammatory after food.

  2. Begin gentle lukewarm salt-water rinses every 3 hours, continue soft foods (curd rice, khichdi) and avoid the extraction side while brushing.

  3. Resume normal brushing with a soft brush, shift to semi-solid diet, apply cold compress only if swelling persists.

Contact us immediately if bleeding restarts or pain escalates after 48 hours.

Review appointment optional but recommended around day 3 for periodontal re-evaluation.

Surgical & wisdom tooth extraction

5-day recovery plan

  1. Keep head elevated, apply ice packs 20 minutes on/off, take antibiotics and pain medication as prescribed, stick to cold liquids.

  2. Continue ice if swelling persists, start medicated mouthwash in the evening, avoid vigorous rinsing and maintain liquid/soft diet.

  3. Swelling peaks — switch to warm compresses, begin gentle jaw opening exercises (3 sets of 5 repetitions) and continue medication.

  4. Transition to semi-solid diet, continue salt-water rinses, monitor for fever or foul taste signalling dry socket.

  5. Add soft chewing on the opposite side, resume most daily routines, maintain warm compresses at night and prepare for suture check on day 7-10.

Call us for uncontrolled swelling, numbness beyond 24 hours or difficulty swallowing.

Surgical patients receive a tele follow-up on day 1 and in-clinic review scheduled on day 3 or 4 based on recovery.

Extraction FAQs

Transparent answers to the questions we hear daily from tech professionals, students and parents in Hyderabad.

Will I need someone to accompany me?

For non-surgical cases you can drive yourself after 30 minutes of observation. Surgical extractions with sedation require a responsible adult to escort you and stay for 24 hours.

How do you control pain?

We use topical numbing, computer-controlled delivery, long-acting anaesthetic and supplement with NSAIDs plus cold laser therapy that reduces post-op pain scores by 45%.

Is dry socket common?

Our PRF socket dressing, medication protocol and day-1 tele follow-up drop dry socket incidence to under 1%. If you are a smoker we schedule additional chlorhexidine dressing visits.

Do you remove all four wisdom teeth together?

We can treat quadrants in the same sitting if imaging shows minimal risk, but we individualise to pain tolerance, schedule and systemic health so healing remains predictable.
